Daily Bulletin, Wednesday, October 19, 1994 THE TRAFFIC JAM at the University Avenue entrance this morning is the result of a visit to campus by some 500 high school students and parents. There will be five more Wednesdays of similar visits, organized by the secondary school liaison office in place of the familiar "Science Days" and other visit programs held by particular faculties. Friday visits on a smaller scale are also planned, says Gail Ruetz of that office. The visitors are parking in lot E, near the Rink in the Park. The program includes a "welcome" at 9:30 in the Festival Room, visits with academic advisors, and campus walking tours. (Maybe the rain won't start up again.) Things are a little confused because the Visitors' Reception Centre hasn't yet been able to move into its new home in South Campus Hall, but the visitors are being greeted anyway from a temporary location in the SCH mall. Bet the cafeterias will be crowded at noon hour today, too. Sorry I wasn't able to include a warning about the event in yesterday's Daily Bulletin, but nobody bothered to tell our office it was happening.
